Windows 10: Xbox One Controller Thumbstick buttons (L3/R3) not working in any game

i've tried a bunch of things but nothing seems to work. it specifically doesn't work in-game, any game, no matter if it's from steam, origin, gog etc.. outside of games, it's being registered without any trouble if pressed, according to Win10 itself and the Xbox Accessories App.

i can't seem to find where the problem is.

the last time i played with my controller, like 2019/2020, i had no problems whatsoever.

i've already tried updating and re-installing everything in terms of drivers, but nope.

example: gog;witcher 3 i can't call horse/roach, steam;gtaV i can't look back while in a vehicle

is there a wise soul out there, who maybe has an idea as to why this might be happening?

Xbox buttons don't work in-game, but do in Windows

I have been fairly consistent issue where in Windows 10 the Xbox Accessories app will register all buttons and thumbsticks as working. But when I try it in-game only the thumbsticks work. For a little while I was able to plug in a USB cable to get it to
work, but no longer. This occurs in Origin PC games, Epic Store games, and others.

Have tried uninstalling the device and reinstalling. Have all the latest updates. Latest firmware on the controller

 

Need HELP with XBOX controller for PC

Hi, I have a Mad Catz Xbox controller (with cord)...

I have a hard time using it with certain PC games because most games expect me to use a XBOX 360 controller where as this one is not 100% like a xbox 360 controller...

It has 4 buttons on the right (same as 360)
It has 2x triggers
It has 2 thumbsticks
2x small buttons on the left and 2x small buttons on the right
but it has NO BUMPERTS (like RB and LB)

For some reason, windows doesn't seem to recognise the two TRIGGERS like buttons... when I press them, I get a X axis flash instead of a button lighting up...

Can someone give me some step by step so I can use it and configure it to my liking...
Right now I'm trying to use it to play Assassin's creed revelations on my PC

when tested in game control settings (windows) RT button have step Acceleration
but when test in game Dirt 3, when driving, RT button not have step Acceleration, when I hit the half or full result is the same

what is wrong with my controller settings?
or not work on windows 10?
