Windows 10: Xbox One Preview Alpha ring 1908 System Update 190722-1945 - July 24

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PST today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest 1908 Xbox One system update (Build: 19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_1908\18362.6049.190722-1945).

New Features:

Today we will be enabling this new feature for flighting in Alpha:

Home

50% of users will begin to see and experimental version of the dashboard. For more information on this experiment, please review the blog post on the Xbox Insider Blog here.

Community

We’ve fixed an issue where the Dashboard reloaded when navigating to the Community tab for some users.

Known Issues:

Audio

Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.

Workaround: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower.

Guide

Some users have reported that the icons at the top of the Guide have sometimes appeared distorted, blocky, or with ghostly outlines.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring 1811 System Update 181021-1920 - Oct. 24

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving a new 1811 Xbox One system update (181021-1920). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1811 system update.

New Features:

Family Settings

We have added a new setting that lights up the features that allow a non-adult account with no parent to accrue a parent on console.

Mouse & Keyboard Support

We have enabled mouse support in the build. Please check out the Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub to experience mouse and keyboard support in Warframe.

Search Enhancements

The search function has been enhanced across the console and will now return responses from the Xbox Assist application for example to help with help, support and troubleshooting. Please check out the Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub to help us gather feedback.

Fixes:

Audio

We made a change to the workload scheduling of Mixer and Audio to reduce audio glitching issues. Let us know if there are any regressions in Game DVR or Mixer audio.

My Games and Apps

We have fixed the issue in which game and app updates were not automatically downloading and installing.

Notifications

We have fixed an issue with users being prompted and spammed by a “Welcome to Game Pass” notification.

Power

We have fixed issues in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

System

Stability fixes in this build.

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest 1810 Xbox One system update (180920-1920). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1810 system update.

Fixes:

Display – Video playback of protected content

We have fixed the issue that some users were seeing with video glitches and/or reduced system performance after changing the resolution of their display or suspending / resuming from connected standby during protected media playback in apps such as HBOGo, Vudu and Movies & TV.

My Games and Apps

Additional fixes to how Games and Apps are installed, updated and launched to ensure the games/apps can launch correctly and not provide the user with an error requiring a reinstall of the game/ app.

System

System Memory and Performance fixes in this build.

Localization fixes in this build.

Known Issues:

Avatars

My Games & Apps

We are aware that some users are experiencing crashing of a game or the Youtube app when you are either launching or resuming the Youtube app.

If you are in the Youtube app and then Resume to a Game the app/game and console may hang or crash.

We are aware that some users are experiencing challenges navigating the Ready to Install Filter options in My Games and Apps. Some users are unable to select the filter options at all and we are investigating.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Virtual Keyboard

We are aware that special characters appear incorrectly when using the Virtual Keyboard.

We are aware that the recently used emoji’s/characters are not present when you launch the VK again.
