Starting at 2:00 PM PST today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest 1908 Xbox One system update (Build: 19H1_RELEASE_XBOX_DEV_1908\18362.6051.190724-1945).

My Games & Apps

Fixed an issue where updates were not appearing in the Updates section.

Known Issues:

Audio

Users are reporting that audio sounds distorted, metallic, or robotic when using Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic.

Workaround: Setting audio to Stereo Uncompressed.

Users who have Dolby Atmos enabled and console display settings set to 120hz with 36 bits per pixel (12-bit) are experiencing loss of Dolby Atmos audio in some situations.

Workaround: Disable 120hz or set Video Fidelity to 30 bits per pixel (10-bit) or lower.

Guide

Some users have reported that the icons at the top of the Guide have sometimes appeared distorted, blocky, or with ghostly outlines.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring 1810 System Update 180923-1920 - Sept. 26

Starting at 6:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving the latest 1810 Xbox One system update (180923-1920). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1810 system update.

Fixes:

Clubs

Fixes to display and show the correct gamertag for the Clubs PromoteToAdmin/RemoveAdmin alerts.

Display – Dolby Vision & HDR

Fixes to the performance of Dolby Vision for the Netflix App.

Fixes to ensure that HDR content is shown as HDR content and not SDR (Standard) content as some users were seeing in the Movies and TV app and the Netflix App.

System

System Memory and Performance fixes in this build.

Localization fixes in this build.

Known Issues:

Avatars

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

My Games & Apps

We are aware that some users are experiencing crashing of a game or the Youtube app when you are either launching or resuming the Youtube app.

If you are in the Youtube app and then Resume to a Game the app/game and console may hang or crash.

We are aware that some users are experiencing challenges navigating the Ready to Install Filter options in My Games and Apps. Some users are unable to select the filter options at all and we are investigating.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Virtual Keyboard

We are aware that special characters appear incorrectly when using the Virtual Keyboard.

We are aware that the recently used emoji’s/characters are not present when you launch the VK again.

My Games and Apps – Better Sorting

We are adding a new feature in this build to sorting in My Games and Apps today based on User feedback. You will now see more date categories for sorting by last update or last used. Please test out the new feature and provide feedback.

Friends list shows where your friends are playing

We have added the new feature in this build of displaying where your friends are playing in the guide. Please test out the new feature and provide feedback.

Voice channels in messaging

Voice channels have been added to Xbox Live messaging on console. This feature is only available in Alpha and can only be used between Alpha users. If you and a friend are both in Preview Alpha, we’d highly encourage you try adding a voice channel and let us know what you think!

Fixes:

Game Pass

Game Pass tile linking is fixed in this build. When you click/select a tile for a game in the Game Pass twist you are launched to the game in the store

Mixer

Fixes to address Mixer tiles do nothing when clicked

My Games and Apps

Fixes to address Multiple Games/Apps failing to launch with the too long to start error on latest update.

Settings – Hard Drive Transfer

We have fixed the Moving/copying content from one drive to another.

System

Fixed a sign in crashing bug.

Localization fixes.

UI and string changes to the Xbox Assist App.

UI fixes to address flickering when starting the Xbox Accessories app.

Known Issues:

Audio

Headsets are not being assigned to the users profiles.

Some users are experiencing no audio with headsets and we are investigating

Some users are encountering no audio on their Xbox console after boot (no shell audio, no game audio, no app audio), then have CSS ask them to perform the following steps:

Cold reboot the console

OR

Go to Audio settings on console

Change their HDMI audio settings to the highest supported uncompressed channel count for their equipment

Switch back to the desired format

Audio should be restored

My Games and Apps

We are tracking the video corruption issue with Youtube and Netflix 4k playback.
