Windows 10: Xbox One Preview Alpha Skip Ahead System Update 181120.1900 - Nov. 25

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Skip Ahead will begin receiving the latest 19H1.04 Xbox One system update (rs_xbox_dev_flight.181120.1900). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 19H1.04 system update. This build has the same features as 1811 plus more to be announced over the coming months!

Fixes:

Audio:

Fixes to resolve the issue in which audio settings such as ATMOS and 7.1 were being reset after an update or reboot.

Several fixes to improve the stability of Audio and enhancements to Spatial Audio. The fixes address the issue in which some users would experience no audio or inconsistent audio in games/apps. The enhancements to Spatial audio improve the user experience.

Game Hubs

Game Hub pages will no longer display a blank white square in the top left corner of the screen while in High Contrast Light theme

Networking

Additional fixes to address the console loosing network connectivity at random times.

Additional fixes to address the console fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

System

Fixes to improve the stability of the console to fix the issue that some users were seeing consoles shutting down after taking a system update.

Fixes to stop the console freezing when accessing the console Settings menu. Users will no longer see the Settings menu freeze or fail to load.

Known Issues:

Mouse

We are tracking the issue with mouse lag causing game performance in some games – Workaround – Turn down the polling rate if you have a gaming mouse with software on a PC. Turn it as low as possible (125 hz).

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha & Skip System Update 1806.180623-1816 - June 25

Starting at 6:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead Ring will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1806.180623-1816). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1806 system update.

Fixes:

My Games and Apps

Fixed an issue with the Pause function when installing an App or Game.

System Performance

Misc. performance fixes in the platform.

Known Issues:

Game Pass Tab

Preview Alpha and Alpha – Skip Ahead users will notice that the Entertainment tab has been replaced on the dashboard with Game Pass content. This new tab allows for easy access to the Game Pass catalog and is only available in the US region at this time, so Preview Alpha and Alpha Skip Ahead Insiders in regions outside of the US will continue to see the Entertainment tab.

Groups

You may see issues with Groups if you frequently switch between your non-Preview console and your Preview console. Workaround: Reset your Groups locally on the Preview console through “My games & apps” > Groups, then using the “Delete all groups” button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Networking

When the console wakes from Instant on/connected standby with a wired connection, the console may not recognize that the Ethernet cable is plugged in. Workaround: Please reboot the console via Guide -> reboot.

Renamed pins group now changes without the need for a reboot.

Fixes for titles using the FastStart technology.

Narrator

Various fixes for the new Narrator languages.

Fixes for modes utilizing multiple audio streams throughout the system.

Guide

Accent color fixes and changes to Gamertag and Gamerpic.

System

Fixes to the stability of the console going in and out of the Instant On power mode.

Memory fixes in this build.

Localization fixes in this build.

Known Issues:

Audio

We are aware that some users are experiencing issues where mics do not work. Please ensure that your controller is running the latest Firmware (Settings – Kinect & Devices – Devices & Accessories) and be sure to file feedback using the “Report a problem” tool when you experience this issue.

Avatars

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

My Games & Apps

We are aware that some users are experiencing crashing of a game or the Youtube app when you are either launching or resuming the Youtube app.

If you are in the Youtube app and then Resume to a Game the app/game and console may hang or crash.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Virtual Keyboard

We are aware that special characters appear incorrectly when using the Virtual Keyboard.

We are aware that the recently used emoji’s/characters are not present when you launch the VK again.

We are aware that predictive text is not working correctly when using the Virtual Keyboard
