Windows 10: Xbox One Preview Beta + Delta 1811 System Update 181026-1939 - Oct. 30

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Beta and Delta Rings will begin receiving a new 1811 Xbox One system update (181026-1939). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1811 system update.

New Features:

Family Settings

Children signing up for new accounts will now be asked to add a parent only if required to by local privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR or COPPA). This means that some minors, like teens in the U.S., will no longer have to add a parent and join a Microsoft family during signup. Xbox privacy and online safety defaults will still be applied based on age, and in order to change those, the minor would need to add a parent on Xbox who can then change their settings. Minors not in a family can add a parent anytime in Settings > Account > Family settings > Add a parent. Joining a family would also allow the parent and child to use other family features like content restrictions, screen time, activity reporting, and spending.

Children that are subject to local privacy regulations will still be required to add a parent during signup. While this will create a Microsoft family through which the parent can use family features like content restrictions, screen time, activity reporting, and spending, the parent will no longer be required to sign in on Xbox. If a parent wants to change their child’s Xbox privacy and online safety settings, the parent can sign in separately on Xbox and manage their family in Settings > Account > Family settings.

Existing child accounts are not affected by this change and will remain with their parents in their current Microsoft family.

Mouse & Keyboard Support

We have enabled mouse support in the build. Please check out the Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub to experience mouse and keyboard support in Warframe.

Search Enhancements

The search function has been enhanced across the console and will now return responses from the Xbox Assist application for example to help with help, support and troubleshooting. Please check out the Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub to help us gather feedback.

Fixes:

My Games and Apps:

Fixed issues in which some users were experience Games and apps failing to launch at the splash screen.

Fixed an issue in which Recently installed games were not showing in collections.

Networking

Fixes to address the console loosing network connectivity at random times.

Additional fixed issues in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Notifications:

Fixed the Achievement toasts issue in which it was not clearing.

Fixed the Welcome to Game Pass Toast every time.

System

USB keyboard navigation fixes in the system.

Store twist updates to improve performance and stability.

Localization fixes.

Known Issues:

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Home

Fixed an issue in which some users are black screen on boot after update.

My Games and Apps

Fixed issues with apps and games failing to launch.

Spotify Search

The search function in Spotify is working now. The Spotify team did an app fix.

Known Issues:

Pi-hole

Pi-hole users may encounter issues signing in, creating, or recovering accounts upon downloading the 1804 update. This is due to a new configuration file which is downloaded from a URL Pi-hole blocks by default.

Workaround: Add clientconfig.passport.net to the Pi-hole allowed IP address list.

Netflix

Netflix on Monitor only works at 1080p and does not support 1440p – Netflix is aware of the issue. Workaround : If watching Netflix on a Monitor/LCD please set the display output to 1080p.

HDR Issues

Some users are discovering that some games are not showing in HDR – Please file feedback when you encounter this to help in the investigation.

Spotify Search

Some users are discovering that the search function in Spotify is not working. Please file feedback when you encounter this to help in the investigation. Workaround – Type in a search hit enter and nothing happens. Click the left stick twice and it searches properly.

Controller sharing/ Co-pilot vibration issues

Some users may experience a problem with a controller vibrating non-stop when using the share controller or the co-pilot feature.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Home

Some users are reporting when quitting a game or app via the guide Home is not loading and you see a black screen.

Audio

If you are experiencing Audio low volume, distorted audio or not audio in some games or apps please file feedback.

Hulu app volume is lower and being investigated.

Xbox One Preview Beta & Delta System Update 1806.180621-1929 - June 24

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Beta and a subset of the Delta Ring will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1806.180621-1929). We are adding more Delta users with this release as we are targeting the upgrade process and will move the remaining set of Delta users in over the next 24 hours. Fixes:

Groups

Fixed a UI bug with groups that resulted in the inbox apps showing a generic pin icon rather than the Application artwork.

My Games and Apps

Fixed an issue with various Games failing due launch or update correctly after a title update and users found that they had to reinstall the title.

Home – Alerts

Fixed an issue in which the clear all button/shortcut on the Alerts page was doing nothing for some users.

Home – Content

Fixed an issue in which the User was unable to navigate the add suggestions content on Home.

Localization

Various localization fixes across the console.

Networking – Wi-Fi

Fixed the network Wi-Fi drivers so that when a user resumes the console from Instant on they no longer experience the following Wi-Fi network issues:

Your Wi-Fi SSID is missing and/or

Your console having no Wi-Fi on resume and /or

Your console was unable to obtain an IP address from your Wi-Fi network.

System Performance

Misc. performance fixes in the platform.

Known Issues:

Groups

You may see issues with Groups if you frequently switch between your non-Preview console and your Preview console. Workaround: Reset your Groups locally on the Preview console through “My games & apps” > Groups, then using the “Reset groups” button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

The Hulu team is releasing a new app to address the app volume is lower than expected.

Fixes to address general system stability and reliability.

Known Issues:

Audio

Some users may experience intermittent loss of Audio with certain configurations of AV receivers with ATMOS or with changing audio configurations during console use.

Microsoft Edge

Sometimes users may encounter crashes in Microsoft Edge when using or viewing multiple tabs or videos.

Workaround : Perform a full reboot of the console.

Pi-hole
