Windows 10: Xbox One Preview Beta & Delta System Update 1810.180826-1920 - Aug. 30

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview BETA and Preview DELTA rings will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1810.180826-1920). Learn more about the new features in development for 1810 here, and read on for a list of fixes and known issues in this 1810 system update.

NOTE : Today a subset of Delta Users are receiving the 1810 build. We are doing the subset of users as we are targeting the upgrade process and will move the remaining set of Delta users in over the next few weeks as we flight new builds to test the upgrade process.

Build Notes:

Xbox Avatar Store (Beta Ring)

Xbox Insiders in the Beta ring now have access to the Xbox Avatar Store, where they can search for and try out new apparel and accessories. Find something you like, preview it on your very own Avatar from within the store and complete the “Try the Avatar Store” Quest to give feedback! Please keep in mind that the Avatar Store is live and all purchases will be charged to your Microsoft Account.

We’ve also pushed a new Avatar Store feature, which can be enjoyed by Alpha Skip Ahead, Alpha and Beta Insiders starting today. Now, when trying out new items in the Avatar Store, you can customize and preview different color options in real time – try it out!

We’re continuing to expand Avatar Store items and Avatar Editor features, and we appreciate the early feedback provided by our Xbox Insiders.

Xbox Avatar Editor (All Delta Ring users 1810 & 1806)

While only a subset of Delta users will receive today’s 1810 build, all Xbox Insiders in the Delta ring will have access to the New Avatar Editor starting today. If you’re a Delta Insider, check for the new Avatar Editor in your “Games & apps,” give it a try and be sure to leave feedback via the “Create a new Avatar” Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub!

Ready to Install
In this update, we’ve simplified “My Games & apps” by making it easier to see what games and apps you have installed vs. what games and apps are ready to install. You’ll no longer see a “Ready to install” tab when you interact with “My games & apps” and will instead be able to toggle between “Installed” and “Ready to install” when viewing either games or apps. We’ve also placed all filter options under one button, so that you can easily view your games and apps by size, letter, last update and more. Try it yourself and be sure to provide feedback!

Fixes:

Avatars

We have fixed the bug where people that need to enter a PIN on Console couldn’t buy content in the Avatar Store.

Clubs

Fixed an issue in which banning a member in a Club would freeze the UI.

Home

Fixes to the Guide to show the correct Notification Inbox counts.

My Games & Apps

Memberships – We have resolved the issue in the Membership sections for Game Pass and EA Access not showing the correct titles.

We have resolved the issue in which some titles were showing the incorrect icon/art.

We have resolved the issue in which some users in My Games and Apps collection filters were unable to dismiss the Filter menu after launch in [Groups] page.

Settings

Fixes to the Narrator feature to correctly read the chat and camera position correctly.

Known Issues:

Audio

We are aware that some users are experiencing issues where mics do not work. Please ensure that your controller is running the latest Firmware (Settings – Kinect & Devices – Devices & Accessories) and be sure to file feedback using the “Report a problem” tool when you experience this issue.

Avatars

We are aware that, in some instances, Avatar limbs (feet & hands) are pointing in unexpected directions and facial hair is appearing where it should not. Please file feedback should you experience this.

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

My Games & Apps

Ready To Install – When looking at the Membership sections for Games for Gold you will not see the correct listing of Installed titles.

Workaround: Look for Ready to Install titles under the Games tab in My Games & Apps.

Memberships – When viewing the Games for Gold Memberships section some users may see all available Ready to Install titles and not just those that are included with their membership.

EA Access App – We are aware that the EA Access app will crash when navigating in the app and become unresponsive.

Shudder App – We are aware that the Shudder app may become unresponsive.

Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge crashes for some users at random times.

The cursor may disappear when exiting and re-entering the app.

Workaround: Press Y when re-entering the app to make the cursor re-appear

OneGuide

Sometimes users may encounter stuttering when launching straight into Oneguide after the console is turned on from Instant on. Please file feedback when you see this.

Here is a workaround to resolve temporarily:

If you have a Kinect sensor connected to the console, try disabling it by going to Settings>Kinect & devices>Kinect and toggling the Kinect sensor off. Then re-launch OneGuide.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Settings – Network Statistics

We are aware that the Detailed Network Statistics feature is not showing any data. This does not impact the consoles networking performance at all it is a UI bug.

Virtual Keyboard

We are aware that some characters appear incorrectly when using the Virtual Keyboard in conjunction with a chatpad. Workaround: Disconnect the chatpad.

Xbox One Preview Beta & Delta System Update 1804.180326-1920 - Mar. 30

Fixed an issue in which some users are black screen on boot after update.

My Games and Apps

Fixed issues with apps and games failing to launch.

Spotify Search

The search function in Spotify is working now. The Spotify team did an app fix.

Known Issues:

Pi-hole

Pi-hole users may encounter issues signing in, creating, or recovering accounts upon downloading the 1804 update. This is due to a new configuration file which is downloaded from a URL Pi-hole blocks by default.

Workaround: Add clientconfig.passport.net to the Pi-hole allowed IP address list.

Netflix

Netflix on Monitor only works at 1080p and does not support 1440p – Netflix is aware of the issue. Workaround : If watching Netflix on a Monitor/LCD please set the display output to 1080p.

HDR Issues

Some users are discovering that some games are not showing in HDR – Please file feedback when you encounter this to help in the investigation.

Spotify Search

Some users are discovering that the search function in Spotify is not working. Please file feedback when you encounter this to help in the investigation. Workaround – Type in a search hit enter and nothing happens. Click the left stick twice and it searches properly.

Controller sharing/ Co-pilot vibration issues

Some users may experience a problem with a controller vibrating non-stop when using the share controller or the co-pilot feature.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Home

Some users are reporting when quitting a game or app via the guide Home is not loading and you see a black screen.

Audio

If you are experiencing Audio low volume, distorted audio or not audio in some games or apps please file feedback.

Hulu app volume is lower and being investigated.

This is the first 1810 build shipped to The Preview Beta ring. Fixes:

My Games and Apps

Fixed an issue for Games that are being updated that use the Fast Start feature. Users will no longer have the game uninstalled if they cancel a game update.

Fixed an issue with the installation and launching of the CW app. The app now launches correctly.

Localization

Various localization fixes across the console.

Party Chat

Performance improvements to the stability and reliability of Party Chat.

System Performance

Misc. performance fixes in the platform.

YouTube

The issue with some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app is resolved.

Known Issues:

Friends

Some users may notice that the online status of Friends is not updating correctly.

Groups

Some users may encounter an issue where their Pins are not displaying artwork or are seeing a while tile instead of their profile color.

Workaround: Please perform the following steps to fix the issue

Open My Games & Apps

Navigate to Groups tab

Scroll to the bottom of the page

Select Delete all groups

Select Delete local groups

The Groups tab in My games & apps may not show after sign in even though you can access Groups in Guide, or you may see “This group does not exist” on Home on first sign-in for your existing Groups. Workaround: Sign in / out to refresh these pages.

Some changes might not be reflected when editing Groups between multiple consoles after coming out of connected standby. Sign in/out to fix.

Using special characters in Group names (e.g. &,”) causes issues during Group creation or using the “Add more” flow. Note: emojis are fine. This is being fixed in an upcoming build.

You may see issues with Groups if you frequently switch between your non-Preview console and your Preview console. Workaround: Reset your Groups locally on the Preview console through “My games & apps” > Groups, then using the “Reset groups” button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Networking

Work continues on the stability of the Wi-Fi connectivity. If you see any issues please report the problem for investigation by performing a Full system software via the dashboard as opposed to just pressing the Xbox Power button.

YouTube

Some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app.

Workaround: Uninstall/re-install the app and sign in with your account again.
