Windows 10: Xbox One Preview Beta Ring 1902 System Update 181208-1920 - Dec. 17

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Beta will begin receiving a new 1902 Xbox One system update (181208-1920). The 1902 build is a new release of the recovery building upon the latest 1811 build plus new bug fixes. Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1902 system update.

Fixes:

My Games and Apps

Performance fixes for various FastStart titles to improve the installation experience.

Fixes to various games (e.g. Resident Evil 0) in which cutscenes would fail and the game would lock. The cutscenes now play as designed.

Fixes to ensure the default apps like the Avatar Editor and Microsoft Rewards work on first launch.

Home

Performance fixes to improve the Home Dashboard experience.

Mouse

We have improved the responsiveness of mouse performance to reduce lag.

General

General console performance enhancements and fixes

Known Issues:

Cortana

We are tracking an issue where Cortana sometimes does not respond to commands

Audio

We are tracking audio issues in which some games have audio that cuts in and out

Audio settings reverting to a previous settings after taking an update. Workaround is to please turn on your Audio Receiver prior to turning your Xbox One and the settings will not revert.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Starting at 6:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Beta Ring will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1806.180724-1902). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1806 system update.

Enhancements to the fixes for Users that experienced issues with launching titles that had been crashing on the console.

Known Issues:

Groups

You may see issues with Groups if you frequently switch between your non-Preview console and your Preview console. Workaround: Reset your Groups locally on the Preview console through “My games & apps” > Groups, then using the “Delete all groups” button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring 1811 System Update 181014-1920 - Oct. 17

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Alpha Ring will begin receiving a new 1811 Xbox One system update (181014-1920). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1811 system update.

System Performance fixes in this build to help with system performance.

Localization fixes

Virtual Keyboard

We have fixed the issue with Predictive text not working in the Virtual Keyboard. To ensure the fix is complete please perform a Full Power down of the console.

Known Issues:

Avatars

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

Media remote

The volume up and down is not functioning when using the media remote. Workaround – Use your TV remote or voice controls.

My Games and Apps

We are tracking an issue in which game and app updates are not automatically downloading and installing.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Beta & Delta System Update 1806.180612-1920 - June 17

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Beta and a subset of the Delta Ring will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1806.180612-1920). We are adding more Delta users with this release as we are targeting the upgrade process and will move the remaining set of Delta users in over the next few weeks as we flight new builds to test the upgrade process. Fixes:

My Games and Apps

Fixed an issue for Games that are being updated that use the Fast Start feature. Users will no longer have the game uninstalled if they cancel a game update.

Fixed an issue with the installation and launching of the CW app. The app now launches correctly.

Localization

Various localization fixes across the console.

Party Chat

Performance improvements to the stability and reliability of Party Chat.

System Performance

Misc. performance fixes in the platform.

YouTube

The issue with some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app is resolved.

Known Issues:

Friends

Some users may notice that the online status of Friends is not updating correctly.

Groups

Some users may encounter an issue where their Pins are not displaying artwork or are seeing a while tile instead of their profile color.

Workaround: Please perform the following steps to fix the issue

Open My Games & Apps

Navigate to Groups tab

Scroll to the bottom of the page

Select Delete all groups

Select Delete local groups

The Groups tab in My games & apps may not show after sign in even though you can access Groups in Guide, or you may see “This group does not exist” on Home on first sign-in for your existing Groups. Workaround: Sign in / out to refresh these pages.

Some changes might not be reflected when editing Groups between multiple consoles after coming out of connected standby. Sign in/out to fix.

Using special characters in Group names (e.g. &,”) causes issues during Group creation or using the “Add more” flow. Note: emojis are fine. This is being fixed in an upcoming build.

You may see issues with Groups if you frequently switch between your non-Preview console and your Preview console. Workaround: Reset your Groups locally on the Preview console through “My games & apps” > Groups, then using the “Reset groups” button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service.

Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Networking

Work continues on the stability of the Wi-Fi connectivity. If you see any issues please report the problem for investigation by performing a Full system software via the dashboard as opposed to just pressing the Xbox Power button.

YouTube

Some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app.

Workaround: Uninstall/re-install the app and sign in with your account again.
