Xbox One Preview Omega Ring 1810 System Update 180928-1920 - Oct. 3

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Omega will begin receiving the latest 1810 Xbox One system update (180928-1920). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1810 system update.

Build Notes:

Xbox Avatar Store

Xbox Insiders in the Omega ring now have access to the Xbox Avatar Store, where they can search for and try out new apparel and accessories. Find something you like, preview it on your very own Avatar from within the store and complete the “Try the Avatar Store” Quest to give feedback! Please keep in mind that the Avatar Store is live and all purchases will be charged to your Microsoft Account.

We’ve also pushed a new Avatar Store feature, which can be enjoyed by Alpha Skip Ahead, Alpha and Beta Insiders starting today. Now, when trying out new items in the Avatar Store, you can customize and preview different color options in real time – try it out!

We’re continuing to expand Avatar Store items and Avatar Editor features, and we appreciate the early feedback provided by our Xbox Insiders.

Xbox Avatar Editor

All Xbox Insiders in the Omega ring will have access to the New Avatar Editor starting today. If you’re a Omega Insider, check for the new Avatar Editor in your “Games & apps,” give it a try and be sure to leave feedback via the “Create a new Avatar” Quest in the Xbox Insider Hub!

Ready to Install

In this update, we’ve simplified “My Games & apps” by making it easier to see what games and apps you have installed vs. what games and apps are ready to install. You’ll no longer see a “Ready to install” tab when you interact with “My games & apps” and will instead be able to toggle between “Installed” and “Ready to install” when viewing either games or apps. We’ve also placed all filter options under one button, so that you can easily view your games and apps by size, letter, last update and more. Try it yourself and be sure to provide feedback!

Fixes:

Groups

Renamed pins group now changes without the need for a reboot.

My Games and Apps

Fixes for titles using the FastStart technology.

Narrator

Various fixes for the new Narrator languages.

System Performance

Misc. performance fixes in the platform.

Known Issues:

Avatars

It can take up to 10 seconds to view an Avatar on the profile screen after creating a new Avatar.

My Games & Apps

We are aware that some users are experiencing crashing of a game or the Youtube app when you are either launching or resuming the Youtube app.

If you are in the Youtube app and then Resume to a Game the app/game and console may hang or crash.

We are aware that some users are experiencing challenges navigating the Ready to Install Filter options in My Games and Apps. Some users are unable to select the filter options at all and we are investigating.

Power

We are tracking an issue in which the console is fully powering off when it is placed into Instant On mode.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Xbox One Preview Delta/Omega System Update 1806.180726-1758 - July 29

Starting at 2:00 p.m. PDT today, members of the Xbox One Preview Delta and Omega Rings will begin receiving the latest Xbox One system update (1806.180726-1758). Read on for more about the fixes and known issues in the latest 1806 system update.

Fixes:

My Games and Apps

Users should no longer experience Various Games and Apps failing to launch which required a title uninstall and reinstall. This fix will resolve the issue when you launch the title.

Users should no longer experience an issue with the Store app erroring out with the (0x80070bfa) error when browsing/launching the Store.

Networking

Fixes to resolve the issue with Wireless and Wired networks failing to be detected when the console wakes from Instant on/connected standby.

Known Issues:

Groups

You may see issues with Groups if you frequently switch between your non-Preview console and your Preview console. Workaround: Reset your Groups locally on the Preview console through “My games & apps” > Groups, then using the “Delete all groups” button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service.

Fixes:

Audio

Fixed an issue in which some users would experience loss of audio in games or apps.

Controller sharing/ Co-pilot vibration issues

Users will no longer experience a problem with a controller vibrating non-stop when using the share controller or the co-pilot feature.

Microsoft Edge

Fixed an issue in with system stability that could result in Microsoft Edge from crashing when running multiple apps/games.

System Reliability

Fixed an issue in with system stability that could result in Home/apps or games crashing when running multiple apps/games.

Known Issues:

Pi-hole

Pi-hole users may encounter issues signing in, creating, or recovering accounts upon downloading the 1804 update. This is due to a new configuration file which is downloaded from a URL Pi-hole blocks by default.

Workaround: Add clientconfig.passport.net to the Pi-hole allowed IP address list.

Netflix

Netflix on Monitor only works at 1080p and does not support 1440p – Netflix is aware of the issue. Workaround : If watching Netflix on a Monitor/LCD please set the display output to 1080p.

HDR Issues

Some users are discovering that some games are not showing in HDR – Please file feedback when you encounter this to help in the investigation.

Profile Color

Sometimes users may encounter the incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.

Home

Some users are reporting when quitting a game or app via the guide Home is not loading and you see a black screen.

Audio

Hulu app volume is lower and being investigated.

Guide

We are aware of the Guide staying on the screen or being blank when exiting a game or app.
