Windows 10: XBox One S (1708 model) wireless connection issue

Hello everyone. Today I fixed an XBox Controller and it seems to work fine. I tried first using two AA batteries and connecting to my Android phone via Bluetooth, and it worked; I also tried connecting the controller to my PC via cable and same thing. But, as soon as I go to "Add devices" in bluetooth settings, and try to scan "Mice, keyboards, pens..." or "Xbox Controller with wireless board", none of these detect my controller, even after setting the controller in pairing mode (fast blinking light). I already updated the controller (wired mode) in the "XBox Accessories" app from the Microsoft Store.

My PC is running Windows 10 Version 2004 and I'm using an USB Bluetooth 4.0 dongle. Can someone help me fix this?

Windows 10 Xbox One S Wireless Controller issue with Dark Souls Series

Hi Wilfried,

I was able to play Dark Souls using the Xbox One S wireless controller before. The issue may relate to one of my hard drives failing and being replaced.

I have tried uninstalling all of the games fully and reinstalling them but it hasn't fixed the issue.

I have tried to update my controller but the Xbox Accessories app is telling me that it is already up-to-date.

I have also performed the troubleshooting steps in that link already, to no avail.
