  1. Xbox One Wireless Controller No Longer Connecting to PC Win 10 but still paired

Hi there, so I have been using my wireless Xbox, One controller, on my PC for about a year now, and all of a sudden it has stopped connecting with my PC. If you head into Settings > Bluetooth & Other Devicesright at the bottom it says "Other Devices" and it lists the Xbox Wireless Controller asPaired. As it always did before, only now when the controller is turned on at no point does it sayConnected like it used to.

    I have tried the following:

    • Reinstalling Bluetooth Drivers and Updating drivers for the Xbox One Wireless Controller
    • Going into Device Manager and Uninstalling the Xbox One Wireless Controller, restarting the computer, and trying to re-pair the controller.
      • This presents an interesting effect, which may be of note. Upon doing this the Xbox Wireless controllerno longer appears on the "Bluetooth and Other Devices" menu. However, if you return toDevice Manager and press "Scan for Hardware Changes" the Xbox Wireless Controller reappears under the Bluetooth devices tab, even if the controller is turned off and isn't connected via micro-USB.
    • I have uninstalled the Intel Wireless Bluetooth device and drivers throughDevice Manager, restarted my computer, and scanned for hardware changes whereupon it reinstalls the device and drivers - still no success.
    • I have checked that the Bluetooth still works on my PC by connecting it to a variety of other devices.
    • I have checked that the Bluetooth still works on the controller by connecting it to my iPad and my Android phone.
    • I have gone into services.msc and set Bluetooth Support Services to "Automatic" and restarted that service - still nothing
    • I unplugged my Bluetooth card from the motherboard, booted the computer, shut down the computer, and reconnected the Bluetooth card - out of sheer desperation. Still nothing.

Furthermore, I tried talking with an expert on the included Help app on Windows 10, where they told me it was a driver issue. I have already re-installed my drivers as far as I can tell.

What really is confusing me is that the PC seems to constantly think the device is still paired, even after uninstalling the device and the drivers in Device Manager. If anyone can help this would be greatly appreciated! Everywhere I google I find the same "fixes" as specified above which - so far - haven't worked.

    :)

Xbox Controller is not connecting to Wireless Adapter

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate your time and patience to work on this issue. To have a better clarity on the issue please reply to the following questions:

    • Are you using an Xbox one controller?

If you are using an Xbox one controller, I suggest you to refer the steps in the article

How to connect an Xbox One Wireless Controller to a Windows PC
and see if that helps in resolving the issue.

I would also suggest you to uninstall all the hidden devices under USB hive and check if you are able to connect the wireless adapter. Please follow the steps mentioned below to uninstall the hidden drivers:

    1. Press and hold the Windows + X key on the keyboard.
    2. Select Device manager.
    3. Click View tab.
    4. Select Show hidden devices.
    5. Expand Universal Serial Bus and remove all the greyed out devices. To remove the greyed out devices, right click on the device and select
      uninstall.
    6. Restart your computer.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.

  4. Xbox One Wireless Controller No Longer Connecting to PC Win 10 but still paired

Last Update stopped xbox wireless adapter functioning

    Hi All,

so after the last win 10 update my xbox wireless adapter no longer functions on my gaming pc. It shows up in device list and says it is working ok, but it will not pair with the xbox one controller.

It pairs ok to the same controller on other pcs I have in the house, the controller also pairs ok to xbox one.

I have tried multiple USB ports on the gaming pc, i have tried deleting the devices and reinstalling, in all cases it appears to be working fine but the pairing process just does not complete. The controller works fine on the gaming pc if connected by
    wire.

Any one have any suggestions on what could be causing the pairing process to fail - some random setting perhaps?

    thankyou
