Windows 10: Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 not working on new PC

Hello! Recently I got a new HP Omen PC and when plugging my Xbox Wireless Adapter into the usb ports, it does not automatically install the needed drivers for it to function properly.

I have tried many different fixes I've found online but none have worked for me thus far. Also note that I plugged the adapter into another family member's computer and it installed the drivers just fine and it also installed fine on my previous computer. It's also important to know that the intended driver is NOT appearing in my Network Adapters in the Device Manager.

The following are the fixes I have attempted for this problem:

I've tried to update the device with three different sets of driver files, one from plugging the adapter into a family member's PC and using a USB drive to copy it on to my computer, one from the guide on this Reddit post, and the latest one available from www.catalog.update.microsoft.com. Every time I try to update the adapter in Device Manager by directing it towards the driver files it says that it "Cannot find any drivers".

I've tried plugging it into every USB port on my computer, front and back.

And I've unplugged it, restarted the computer, and plugged it back in as well as uninstalling it before doing so.

I'm at a loss at what to do at this point so any help is appreciated, thank you!
