Windows 10: Xbox Wireless Headset detected as Speakers in Window 11 when connected via bluetooth

Hi,I have Xbox Wireless Headset which was working just fine with Windows 11 until I paired it with Xbox. Suddenly after pairing it again with PC it's recognized as Speakers, which makes the sound quality very poor, and volume very low. I saw many similar cases online, but no solution I found really helps me.So far I tried:-Unpairing it from Xbox-Uninstalling and installing Audio Drivers again-Uninstalling and installing headset drivers again-Uninstalling and installing bluetooth drivers again-Updating headset's firmware-Checking audio settings in Control Panel and Settings, which didn't show a

Xbox Wireless Headset problem on PC

Hey guys, I need help with the Xbox Wireless Headset. When I connect it to PC via USB, Windows 11 recognizes it as "headphones", but when I try to connect it via Bluetooth it is detected as "speakers" (and the audio quality is much worse). Why is that? What can I do to fix this?

 

Bluetooth headset doesn't get detected as audio device automatically

I've got the headphones paired via Bluetooth but when clicking on the sound icon in systray there's no option to quick switch.

To get audio through the headset I have to go to Devices and Printers, right-click the headset icon, select Control, then I get the following window:





I then have to choose Connect.

Only then does the option to switch audio appear in the sound pop-up





I'm not sure what is required to get the headphones detected automatically - is it a limitation of the headset or my Bluetooth dongle?

 

Does anyone use any wireless controllers on PC?

I originally bought two Microsoft Xbox One Wireless Controllers. They come with two AA batteries. I decided not to use these batteries and replace them with rechargeable battery packs.

You can connect these controllers to a Windows 10 PC using Bluetooth. That works fine for me. Optionally, you can buy a Microsoft Xbox Wireless Adapter and connect to it. The advantage of using it is that you need it if you want to connect a headset to the controller.
