Windows 10: xinput controllers quasi disconnecting with any input

I am at my wit's end trying to troubleshoot this so here I am begging for help. I've been using the same fight stick and PS4 controller for years on my PC for all my gaming needs recently I started having these weird freezing issues. So I start troubleshooting, bring up the USB controller set up menu, go to calibrate and notice that every time I hit a button the controller disconnected for a second then immediately reconnects.If I leave the controllers in PS4 mode they work flawlessly but of course the severely limits compatibility. Anytime I enable any kind of x input emulation I get the same

   • Find the Bluetooth LE XINPUT compatible input device.
     
   • Right-click, choose Properties, and go to the Driver tab.
     
   • Select Update driver and choose Browse my computer for drivers.
     
   • Click Let me pick from a list.
     
   • Uncheck the box that says Show compatible hardware.
     
   • In the left box, select MICROSOFT.

Xbox controller constantly holding up.

So I recently got gamepass ultimate and started using a controller with my pc to play on the cloud.

Everything was working fine until my controller disconnected itself and started holding whatever input I pressed before it disconnected.

I've checked to see if its a problem with xinput by using the gamepad tester in control panel but after disconnecting the controller xinput stops showing input and the controller as per normal which makes me think it's something to do with windows itself.

Help with this would be great as its very annoying trying to go to the windows search bar and not being able to search for apps as it just spams up.

 

wanting to get bluetooth game controllers xinput dinput??

Does anyone have some suggestions and links of what is good to look for on these things?
I want Bluetooth as I have a firestick 4K and I can install free games on that.
I also have a Bluetooth dongle that does work to transfer files from phone to PC to phone, but I dont know if the version matters regarding controllers?? I got that device at least 5 years ago.

I want force feedback in the handles.
Is it better to use seperate A cell batteries, or an inbuilt one?
I am thinking really 2 controllers, all on one Bluetooth dongle?

I also read Xinput is newer than Dinput and how does that fit into this picture?
I read some controllers only do Xinput when using a cable, which I dont think is a good idea.

I also need them to work with windows 7 and 10, android, firestick, dont care about apple
