Windows 10: XPS Doc Writer not installed after Windows 11 update

I've recently upgraded to Windows 11 and one of the programmes I use needs XPS Document Writer to produce pdfs. I've looked in Windows Features and it is there but unticked. When I tick the box and press okay it fails to install the programme, giving me a 0x800F0922 error message instead.I got in touch with Microsoft support and they even tried remote access but in the end they couldn't install XPS and suggested this was a problem in Windows 11! Has anyone else had this problem or has anyone got any suggestions as to how I can get XPS reinstalled.Many thanks in advanceGerard

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

XPS Writer wont install in Windows 10

The location to install XPS Writer is different depending on which version of Windows 10 you have. Check if you can find it this way:

1. Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features then select "Turn Windows features on or off."

2. Verify if XPS Services and XPS Viewer are in the list.

3. If XPS Services, XPS Viewer, or both are marked with a checkbox, turn both of them off, restart your PC, turn both of them on, then restart your PC again. If they are both already off, turn both of them on then restart your PC.

4. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers.

5. Verify if Microsoft XPS Document Writer is installed as a printer. If Microsoft XPS Document Writer is already installed, secondary click it then select "Remove device." Restart your PC.

6. Select "Add a printer."

7. Select "The printer that I want isn't listed" > "Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings."

8. On the "Choose a printer port" screen, select "Use an existing port" and "PORTPROMPT: (Local Port)."

9. On the "Install a printer driver" screen, select "Microsoft" in the left pane and "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" in the right pane.

10. If you are asked "Which version of the driver do you want to use?" select "Use the driver that is currently installed (recommended)."

You should be able to use XPS Writer as expected after following these steps. Feel free to ask if you need a step clarified, or if XPS Writer still does not work after.
