Windows 10: xps document writer is not working after reinsallation

pdf document writer would not print. uninstalled and reinstalled and it's still not working.

  Open the created text document and type some text (input text as you desire, save and close text file)

  Again open the text document, click on File tab and click on Print.

  Select the Microsoft XPS writer and click on Print button.

  You may select the location to save the file.

I got all through this until: Look for "Microsoft XPS Document Writer v4" or of similar fare, XPS Class Driver

Microsoft XPS Document Writer is not in the list! Dead in the water..
