  1. yahoo and Calendar/Mailbox app!

Hi again, is there a problem with yahoo and the Calendar/Mailbox app? I removed my yahoo account from this app yesterday and now can't put it back! I often remove the account if it's not running very well, and normally no problem putting it back. I go into settings on the app, manage accounts, and add an account. I then click on yahoo and enter my password and that's normally it. I now get this logo coming up, I have clicked on help and changed password but no joy! When I open my main yahoo account, I have to put the new password in which I have done about 5 times now! I just wondered if there

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Calendar app not syncing with Yahoo Calendar

    Hi Cris,

I couldn't tell from your post whether you were referring to a Yahoo account or an Outlook.com account disappearing from the Calendar app. If you've added a Yahoo account to the Mail app, it won't show up in the Calendar app since Windows 10 doesn't support
Yahoo calendar sync. If you've lost a calendar for an Outlook.com or other supported account:

    1. Go to the Mail app and click on the gear icon.

    2. Choose Manage Accounts.

    3. Select the account that doesn't have the calendar appearing.

    4. Go to Change mailbox settings.

    5. Scroll down to Sync options.

    6. Turn the Calendar switch to On.

Hope this helps. If not, please post again.

  3. Windows 10 Calendar won't display Yahoo Calendar events, but Yahoo e-mail works fine.

    Hi Angela,

I deleted my Yahoo e-mail account, restarted Windows 10, add Yahoo e-mail account.

My Yahoo e-mail is working fine,

My Yahoo Calendar does not appear as a "Calendar" in the Windows 10 Calendar app, nor are any Yahoo Calendar events appearing in the Windows 10 Calendar app.

    Any other ideas?

How to subscribe to your Yahoo Calendar from the Windows 10 Calendar App

    Update for Windows 10:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Yahoo Calendar is still not supported in the Windows 10 Calendar app. Microsoft has chosen not to support CalDAV syncing for Yahoo. If you just want notifications of your Yahoo Calendar
events in Windows 10, you can subscribe to your calendar following the steps below. Beware: any changes you make in Windows Calendar will not sync back to Yahoo. If you need a program which has two-way calendar-syncing capability, consider using Microsoft
Outlook (desktop version) or a free e-mail program such as eM Client. For now, the only reason I would consider using Windows Calendar is to take advantage of Windows notifications, which display even when the Windows Calendar app is not open.

Note: You will need to have a calendar set up in Yahoo and be signed in to your Microsoft Account in Windows 10.
For more information on setting up Microsoft Accounts, visit Account help.

    Share your Yahoo Calendar.

    1. Log in to https://calendar.yahoo.com.

    2. In the left-hand column under My Calendars, find your calendar (e.g. Ben’s_Calendar). You may need to click on the “>” to expand and show the names of calendars.

    3. Hover over the name of the calendar, and click on the down arrow to see more options.

    4. Choose "Share..." from the options that appear.

    5. Select the “Generate links (most secure)” checkbox.

    6. You will see two options below.

    7. Go to the “To import into a Calendar app (ICS).”
You will see a link such as

    Yahooist Teil der Yahoo Markenfamilie.

    8. Copy this address (right-click).

    9. Click "Save."

Subscribe to your Yahoo Calendar from Microsoft Live Outlook Calendar.

    1. Login to https://calendar.live.com.

    2. Along the top menu bar click the "Add calendar" option.

    3. Select the “From internet” option.

    4. A Calendar Subscription box appears.

    5. In "Link to the calendar" paste the iCal link you copied from Yahoo in Step #8.

    6. In “Calendar name” give your Yahoo calendar a name.

    7. Click "Save."

    8. You should now see your events from Yahoo Calendar in Microsoft Live Outlook Calendar.

Sync your Microsoft Live Outlook Calendar to the Calendar app in Windows 10.

    1. Open the Windows 10 Calendar app.

    2. Click on the gear icon at the lower left.

    3. Choose “Manage Accounts.”

    4. Click on “+ Add Accounts”

    5. Choose “Outlook.com”

    6. A box will appear to Choose an account.

    7. Select the Microsoft account you use to log into your computer, and that you used to sign into Microsoft Live Outlook Calendar.

    8. The account will be created and linked to the Calendar app.

    9. You should now see your Yahoo Calendar events in the Windows Calendar app.

Troubleshooting: What to try if your Yahoo Calendar events from Microsoft Live Outlook Calendar Windows Live don't appear.

-Make sure Windows 10 is signed in to your Microsoft Account.

    1. Using the Charms menu or Windows Key-I, open "Settings."

    2. Choose “Accounts.”

    3. You should see your user name and the e-mail address you used to sign up for your Microsoft Account.

    4. If you are not signed in to your Microsoft Account, select "Sign in to your Microsoft Account" and complete the sign-in process.

    -Refresh the Calendar app

    1. There is not a dedicated refresh button for the Calendar app like there is for the Mail app.

    2. You can use F5 to refresh.
Some computers may require pressing the Function key (Fn) + F5.

    -Change sync settings

    1. Using the Charms menu or Windows Key-I, open "Settings."

    2. Choose “Accounts.”

    3. Select “Email & app accounts.”

    4. Select the Outlook.com account.
It has an “O” icon over an envelope.

    5. Click “Manage.”

    6. In the Account settings that open, click on “Change mailbox sync settings.”

    7. Change the “Download new content” setting to “as items arrive.”
This will enable more frequent syncing.

    8. Microsoft warns that syncing may take more than 24 hours, but in my experience it happens much more quickly.
