Windows 10: Yahoo and Gmail showing empty "sent" box when I have 100s on ipad

Firstly I should say I'm not very computer literate.

I have a Yahoo account and a Gmail account. I need to clear out my Sent items as my ipad memory is nearly full, To be honest, I've been rather lax at "housekeeping" so there are hundreds!

I decided it would be easier to go through them on the laptop (I will want to keep some so can't just do delete all) but when I go to the sent box in both mail accounts they are showing as empty.

I'm sure there's a simple answer (at least I hope so)

Windows Email - Sent messages from Email don't show in gmail, yahoo etc

When I send email from Windows Email the sent messages don't show in sent mail in the email account itself. The messages I have sent from Windows Email do not show up in the sent mail folders on Gmail or Yahoo.

I use my iPad or phone for sending some mail and anything I send from there shows as sent mail in Gmail and Yahoo. Is there a setting or some way to register the mail as being sent. This is causing big confusion because I can't keep track of who I have
emailed.

 

Unsure if messages are sent from Windows 10 mail

I have recently upgraded to Windows 10. My Windows mail is linked to my yahoo account. However when I send an email with Windows mail, it shows as "sent" only through Windows Mail, not when I sign in with regular yahoo mail. Therefore I'm unsure if
my message was sent. Anyway to ensure that it show up in the sent folder when I log into yahoo mail from web browser? When an email is sent from my phone, it shows up when I sign up with regular mail.

 

The simple answer is that the sent mail may be only stored locally on your iPad, I'm afraid.

I don't use an iPad but according to Apple Support it depends on what your Mailbox Preferences are set to. Maybe you haven't got this setting selected....
