Windows 10: Yahoo email memory overload

Yahoo mail takes nearly 3gb of memory on my laptop but very little on other devices. Dell laptop is running Windows 11 and using Chrome. I removed almost all of my emails from Yahoo, updated/deleted all history from Chrome, but on my Dell laptop it almost comes to a complete halt when Yahoo Mail is invoked. Yahoo mail takes a few hundred mb memory at most on my iPhone/iPad. I was not able to send a acreenshot of the memory usage but right now it is 2.6gb...

This may not help but certainly worth a try, I've moved to Firefox, tried Edge for maybe a year, it just continued to be not ready for prime time. AFAIK you still can't set a new tab to open as the active window in the foreground. MS has made browsers for years and Edge seems amateurish and clumsy, they made this one for touch devices.

FF is most like IE which was my preferred browser. Anyway, a link to thread is below and a quote of the post within that thread with the workaround.

Regarding the issue that you had with making email replies on your Yahoo, have you tried performing a uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

We suggest that you follow these steps:

• Uninstall the Yahoo Mail app.
• Perform a soft reset by Pressing the Power and Volume down button simultaneously for 15 seconds.
• Once the phone vibrates, release your hold and wait for the phone to finish rebooting.
• Reinstall Yahoo Mail from the store.

Let us know if the issue persists after following the steps above.
