Windows 10: yahoo mail account not prompting for creating passkeys after deleting once

I had Passkeys enabled on my yahoo mail account using my windows device.Recently I had disabled my passkeys once from the yahoo mail account. However ever since I had disabled it, I am no longer getting the configuration option for creating new passkey and also not getting any prompt for passkey creation/ usage while trying to login to yahoo mail account. This is happening on all devices, networks, and after clearing all browser cache, changing browser etc.What is going wrong?

Sounds promising, I have a Gmail account. How do I verify the Yahoo account using it ?

I have sent several Gmails to john @yahoo.com, but all I get are mail failure emails back saying the account is not available. I also did this with OE a few times with the same result.

Why `o why can`t Yahoo be more explicit in their instructions. I am no dummy, but I give in on this one.

How do I delete an E-Mail account? I have one that I haven't used in a long time, and I just want to delete it since I use another one anyway. It's on Yahoo btw.
