    **Microsoft Warning Alert** scam

While I don't have a solution, the important thing to note in this comment was that the user was in Yahoo. That appears to be the common thread in my own experience and that of others who have gotten that "warning".

Yahoo claims it's not them but Yahoo is the common denominator to when this "warning" comes up. In every instance I run scans, delete cookies, dump caches I'm not otherwise infected.

Windows please take note and see what the fix is since Yahoo seems unable to do so.

  5. It's oddly funny to me, but I feel safer after a breach has happened, and I know my account was not a part of it. Like now I'm safer because they will watch things closer, and add extra layers of protection to prevent, and warn users of anything they think may be going on. As compared to other companies you never hear of an attack on. Not that they have been breached, but that it could happen because there could be a hole somewhere, and it's just a matter of time. It's like not having a security system for your home, and only having locks on all windows and doors. Then one day someone breaks in, and now you get serious, and get extra security. Cameras, sensors, etc along with the locks. Much safer now. I feel better.

Yeah, still on my process of desmantling my old Yahoo account. Once I'm sure there's anything attached to it, I'll shut it down for the good.
