Windows 10: Ya'll gon' make me lose my mind (up in here, up in here)

I have a tablet that I love dearly, but whenever Windows 10 decides to pop an update on there, it stops working. Completely. I have spent hours trying to fix it, followed every troubleshooting guide under the stars, even prayed (I'm not religious) but nothing except rolling back Windows 10 to a previous build works to get rid of my problem.


Only issue is, whenever I leave my computer on sleep because, I don't know, I'd like to eat??? or something? Windows decides that it wants to take advantage of me not looking at the screen, and updates.


Every time.


I always dread waking my computer (or even turning it on, if it shuts down) because I, without fail, have now seen the mocking blue screen of Windows saying "Hello ))) here's an update!!! Don't shut off your PC )!!" in the soft font of Segoe UI, and every time I have to painstakingly roll it back to a previous build because "my apps don't work with this." I always spend a couple hours troubleshooting JUST IN CASE *this* time the drivers may work, maybe *this* time the settings will work, but it never does. It's so frustrating.


I've tried setting the update option to "defer feature updates" but it doesn't work. Nothing will stop the thirst for power, and I for one have had ENOUGH!


PLEASE tell me there is some workaround to this hell. I do not want to pay another $500 (or more) for a new tablet when my old one works wonderfully, except with the latest Windows updates.

is it possible to hand build a motherboard?

Might I suggest you simply build a computer, making notes and taking pictures step by step. Most people (probably including your teacher) have no idea even where to start building a computer. You'll do fine, and if you get stuck we're here to help ya out! *Toast :toast:

Yep Frogger's dead on. Do some more research, find some instructions, they will list it step-by-step. Print or write down what instructions you'll need. I hope it works for ya!
