Windows 10: Yamaha P45 Digital Piano detected as audio output instead of input.

So, I've been trying to get my Yamaha P45's audio output male headphone jack to work as an audio input 3.5mm headphone jack on my laptop, so I can record the audio from my piano without losing quality. However, if I try and connect it using a male to female headphone jack converter and then a female to female cable to connect it to my laptop, it's not detected as an audio input but rather an output, and I feel like I've tried everything to get it to work: Update my audio drivers, try and get Realtek Audio Console to work If I try and open it I get the error "Not able to connect to RPC-ser

My Lenove Yoga 500 pre-installed Genuine Windows 10. Yamaha digital keyboard detected and installed but no option to receive midi?

I can select midi output in Debian

Piano not getting recognised

I have a Yamaha PSR-78 piano keyboard and I want to plug it into my laptop to record something in audacity but as soon as I plug it in, it is not recognised and no more sound is outputed from my laptop.

My supposition is that the piano is being recognised as headphones.

 

Playback detecting Input Devices & Recording detecting Output Devices

Today, I was playing SCP: Secret Laboratory. After I finished, I went and made tea. When I came back much later to play some more, I found that the in-game voice chat was not working for me; my microphone was not transmitting in-game.
Looking into my Steam settings, I found that all my input devices were actually my output devices, and all my output devices were actually input devices. I initially thought this was an issue with Steam, so I restarted Steam and my PC.
However, when the problem did not resolve, I looked to my sound settings and found that even in there, my playback devices detected inputs as outputs and recording devices detected outputs as inputs.

How am I able to fix this problem?
