Windows 10: Yellow Highlighting on some webpages after Bing search in Edge/Chrome

This popped up a few days ago, and I'm not sure if it was due to a Windows reinstall, a Windows Update, or something else.
Windows 10 2004.
I don't really care if the feature stays or not, I just wanted to see if anyone could replicate the issue.

If I do a Bing search for sample term "SPDIF speakers" on new Edge or Chrome, some pages will all of a sudden have highlighted text (screenshot attached).



Doesn't happen in Firefox or on search engines other than Bing.

I don't know why some terms trigger it, and why it appears on some webpages, but not others.

How to remove Bing search

a) What is the exact issue that you face with Bing?

b) Is the issue related to Bing app?

c) Do you get issues with bing search in Windows Edge?

If you wish to set a different search for Windows Edge, here are the steps which might help you to set it as default search engine or home page.

• Open Windows edge.
• Click on More actions (Three dots ...)
• Click on settings.
• Click on view advanced settings.
• Turn on "Show the home button"
• Enter the URL of the website which you want to set as your home page.
• Close the Windows edge and open it again you will be able to get you desired webpage as your home page.

For Internet Explorer, refer to the following steps:

a) Type Internet options into the start search box

b) Press enter

c) Go down to search and select settings,

d) You can change it here.

Cannot Highlight and make quick searches in Edge

Hi,

One of the features I used most in Internet Explorer (&chrome) was the ability to highlight a bit of text (eg a postcode) and then right mouse-click and pick bing maps or google maps - which would then open up the maps website with the postcode already entered.
This feature is so useful and quick, but in the Edge all I seem to be able to do is copy the postcode, manually open up a new tab, go to maps and then paste in the postcode - 4 slow steps instead of 1 quick one.

Is this feature available on The edge ... ie is it something I have to enable ? I like using the Edge, but I do find myself using chrome more because they still have this feature.

Also there isn't an option on this page to select questions about The edge - hence why I have had to put it in Windows 10 & Cortana & Search !!

What is the make and model of the device?

As you want to search in the Microsoft Edge browser for a particular webpage. Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Open the Microsoft Edge browser and then any webpage.
• Press Ctrl + F simultaneously for the search option.
