Windows 10: Yes, Another Question About Completely Ridding my PC of OneDrive

I've read all the threads over the years on this topic. I still cannot get a sense of how one gets rid of OneDrive completely: eliminating the OneDrive folder on one's PC and returning to normalcy.There's the school of "unlink your PC," which most claim doesn't solve the problem. Then there's the "managing sync" school, which others say doesn't fix the problem either. I don't even understand how one completely stops sync. When I navigate to "Backup Folders on this PC" in OneDrive Settings, I see five of my folders with a slider choice next to each. What exactly does that slider button choi

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Deleting the files from the OneDrive app will delete them from the OneDrive servers as well.

The said app works differently form a PC wherein you can choose the folders that you want to sync. Using the said app for Windows Mobile will always display all the contents of your account.

• Launch OneDrive.
• Tap the Ellipsis [ . . . ] button on the lower right part of the screen.
