You can soon uninstall more pre-installed Windows 10 apps

Unlike Windows 7 or XP, Windows 10 ships with a bunch of apps pre-installed. While there are many useful apps such as Calculator, you might want to get rid of some pre-installed apps in Windows 10 if you don’t use them.

For example, Windows 10 also ships with apps such as Paint 3D and Snip & Sketch but if you don’t use or like them, you will be soon able to uninstall these apps in Windows 10 quickly via Start menu.

Windows 10 Build 18262 (19H1) comes with some much-needed improvements in this regard. Microsoft says that Windows 10 19H1 update would allow users to uninstall more pre-installed Windows 10 apps directly via the Start menu.

In the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, April 2018 Update and prior, the pre-installed apps such as Microsoft Solitaire, Collection, My Office, OneNote, Print 3D, Skype, Tips and Weather can be uninstalled. But in Windows 10 19H1, users will be allowed to uninstall the 3D Viewer (previously called Mixed Reality Viewer), Calculator, Calendar, Groove Music, Mail, Movies & TV, Paint 3D, Snip & Sketch, Sticky Notes and Voice Recorder apps.

“We are adding the ability to uninstall the following (preinstalled) Windows 10 inbox apps via the context menu on the Start menu All Apps list,” writes Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar and Brandon LeBlanc.

There are users out there who still don’t like the UWP apps, even though these apps have improved a lot and they are quite useful. This feature is also going to help those users who bought tablets with low storage.

In case you want apps back, you can always reinstall them and any other Microsoft apps from the Windows Store.

Windows 10 19H1 set to arrive next year

The codename of next Windows 10 update is “19H1” and it’s set to arrive in the spring of 2019. Windows 10 19H1 update will introduce several new features such as the highly-anticipated Sets interface, Task Manager improvements, Fluent Design on the login screen and much more.

Windows 10 October 2018 Update is ready for the public release and Microsoft can start focusing on the next major update for the operating system, codenamed 19H1. The 19H1 builds are still in the early days of development and new exciting features will start showing up in the coming weeks.

  3. Windows 10 clean install issues

Edge is liked by some but most prefer a better experience. If Firefox or Chrome are preferred uninstall Edge using a method described below.
That was unwise, uninstall as there are known, and unknown, vulnerabilities with the Intel ME and AMT. Then disable the hardware components in the device manager.
    That is a known glitch. Using an app remover or using advanced methods will help resolve the problem. See the following;

    Use this if you don't want to get down & dirty with the CLI;

Installing Windows 10 on Lumia 920

    I have a Lumia 920 mobile phone.
Found a list on the net with compatible phones that support Win 10. Mine is on that list.
Can't upgrade with the usual way.
Found help on this official website of developers for Windows Phones. It's a step by step no brainer thing. Most people are doing it. Except me. I can't get past point 6. http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10/general/howto-install-windows-10-phones-t3030105

"6.Connect to the same WiFi that your PC is on. Edit the settings for the WiFi connection to turn on the Proxy and set it to use the PC’s IP address and enter 8877 for the port "

    7. Open Internet Explorer on your phone and navigate to http://[pc.ip.add.ress]:8877 where [pc.ip.add.ress] is the IP address of the PC running the WPInsidersHacks app

No idea what this means.I guess i need to access the router and modify some settings in there. Some guy on the forum told me " think he means to use the local IP address of the pc. Go to cmd and type ipconfig and look for ipv4 address. Should be somethin like 192/......"

I did connect my phone as always via wi-fi to my router. But i have no ideea how to use that proxy or how to make my phone have the same Ip as computer. I did start WPInsiderHacks app on pc. This is what it looks like

    Theres also this official http://forums.windowscentral.com/nokia-lumia-920/341531-windows-10-preview-nokia-lumia-920-a.html
    It says this :
    1. Download the Windows Insider app.
Press ... > about > make sure Sys free space is 300MB or more.
If there isn't enough space, make full reset with Windows Phone Recovery Tool.

    Code:
    upwp10.chinacloudapp.cn:7777

    Download and install certificate.
    3. Edit WiFi connection, enable Proxy

    Code:
    upwp10.chinacloudapp.cn
    7777

    4. Open Insider app, click get builds
    5. You will get Enroll page, do not Enroll yet!
    6. Switch to WIFI settings, turn off proxy.
    7. Switch to Windows Insider app and now you can enroll for Windows 10 Technical Preview.
    Choose Fast option.
    8. Check Settings > Phone update.
If it can't find updates, you may need to reboot your phone and enroll again (without a proxy now).

Same thing with the proxy. Anyways the more detailed steps on the DEV forum are much better i think .Cuz they put out more info on how to do it.

Can anybody help me with step 6 ?
