Windows 10: You can't keep Windows settings, personal files and apps because your current version of...

So I thought that I might need a repair upgrade since it was only the one option left when I was trying to fix Windows Security blank screen which still isnt fixed and I installed Avast Antivirus hoping it might get rid of virus trying to hijack the app but when I installed it my Start menu suddenly wont work. I am assuming this might be a bug because I recently updated my Windows to version 20H2. Here is my Windows specifications by the way; EditionWindows 10 Home

Installed on ‎18/‎10/‎2020
OS build 19042.630
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0

I tried to go back with system restore but it is still a problem. I had to use StartisBack to temporarily change and open my start menu.

Im in this problem for 2-3 days and honestly I cant afford to lose my data since my mom is working in this laptop too. i tried to fix registries, anything, and even tried to do a data reset but I cant be bothered for a small problem. I have tried to 'repair upgrade' but an error shows that says 'You can't keep Windows settings, personal files and apps because your current version of Windows might be installed in an unsupported directory.' I can also only choose 'Nothing' to keep when resetting the laptop. I need immediate fix for this as its been bothering me. Thanks in advance

Settings/Personalization

Hi,

We suggest that you follow the steps below to put your settings back to default and see if it helps.

• Right-click your mouse on your desktop.
• Click on Personalize.
• Select Colors.
• Click on High contrast settings.
• From the drop-down menu, select None.
• Click Apply.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

Reinstalling Windows 10 to sell a PC - is the 'Remove everything' option enough?

Restore factory settings do list Removes your personal files, apps and settings, and reinstalls the version of Windows that came on this PC.

So if this isn't true well than just erase the drive and install a clean Windows 10 with all the drivers u need but why should it be true

Here's the steps to update EMUI 4.1.1 to 5.0 :

• Download the EMUI 5.0(desired version) .zip file, and unzip it.
• Place the .hwt file in the HWThemes folder from your phone.
• Using the Themes app, apply the new theme.
• Restart the phone, in order to see all the new changes.

And you’re done!
