Windows 10: You customer tech support deleted my files and hung up on me

I was in a call with a tech support guy who was helping me tranfers files bia remote hotst / wuick assist but he made a mistake and accidentally deleted a bunch of files.

he went silent for 10 minutes and hung up.

Microsoft's "3rd World" Call Center Tech Support is ABOMINABLE and Unacceptable.

I am shocked that Microsoft values the tech support they offer their customers so little. They crashed my computer real bad and when 2 tech's in a row could not figure out how to fix it they both hung up on me. I think they're pressured to no spend too
much time with one customer because they both hung up on me after about 2 hours. The third tech fixed the computer but Windows 10 got deleted in the process. He wanted me to pay for the software in order to reinstall it! That wasn't going to happen! We went
back and forth for a while and then he told me I had to got to a Microsoft store and have the software installed. In the end that's what I did and they installed it without question. They also fixed a few other things tech support had screwed up. They suggested
that moving forward I bring my lap top to the store. While they were professional about it , it was obvious they had concerns about tech support. I felt strongly about making a complaint about my ordeal. After an aggressive search to locate a complaint department
I eventually gave up and accepted that I was defeated. There is no complaint department! Many other customer complaints I read on-line said the same thing. Bill Gates should be ashamed of himself for allowing his customers to be subjected to tech support as
it exists!

 

background (wallpaper) seems to be hung


I see on my background a picture from a series of pictures I wanted for a slide show. Went to Settings/Personalization/Backgrond and followed the steps once upon a time and I think it worked? Anyway, now the app appears to be hung and I don't know how to get it working. I've tried going through the settings and can change the background (behind the slideshow) color but nothing else. I found your forum and tried many of the ideas suggested to no avail. Can someone suggest how to get it working again?

 

Unacceptable response from customer support

Third call to customer support to deal with erratic behavior after updating my laptop to Win 10, the support tech hung up because she didn't believe the information I was giving her. I had been promised a level two call back today but that never happened.

Very disappointed in the lack of support and inability to handle issues.
