    Im trying to download a Game onto my D Drive on my PC. Every time I go to save it in the D drive even within folders on the drive it says that i don't have permission even though, before hand I've been able to save files into the D drive. I thought maybe it's something to do with the Game itself so I tried downloading just a random JPEG from the internet and it says that I don't have permission. Yesterday, I was able to. I have not changed any settings, my PC was turned off through the night so I'm not sure why now it is becoming an issue. My D Drive is 1.80TB and does have the space as it

    Told to contact admin - but i am admin!

    I wanted to save a txt file to C: and got told I didn't have permission to save in that location: contact admin. But I have admin, am an administrator.

    How does all that work?

    p.s. sharing is enabled. Administrators have full control.

    admin password?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    Needing Admin permission to save to a location

    I want to save a downloaded file to a folder on my Windows 10 PC but it says I can't without the Administrator's permission.

    -> What exactly is this location?

    I'm the only user.

    -> This is high-risk stuff. Would you ever consider having a car with just one single key? Of course not! You should create, test and document a spare admin account while you can.
