Windows 10: You have entered the wrong pin code to many times - Bug?

Hi,I use the pin code option to log in to Windows. A week ago, for no apparent reason, the login screen started to say that I have entered the wrong pin code to many times. In order to login I have to first enter A1B2C3 as password before entering my pin code. If I do that, Windows starts normally. 1. The main problem is, I never entered the wrong pin code in the first place. Inspite of entering the right pin code, this message appears 8 out 10 times I log in to Windows for no apparent reason.I googled the issue and found a suggestion that said go into Settings > Accounts > Sign in optio

Entered an Incorrect PIN too Many Times

I will try waiting several days as you did. When steps are suggested they aren't understanding that there are no choice...the screen just says you have entered the wrong pin too many times....that's all. Then restart your computer. No other choices are
on the screen.

Hi windows 10 says I've entered wrong pin too many times but after 4 or 5 attempts windows gives me a code to enter which is A1B2C3 after entering this code it then asks for my pin and then windows opens ? I might have to do this 2 or 3 times and then the
pin will work first time.

I have reloaded windows but it will happen again in about weeks time do I have a virus, why would windows 10 64 bit pro give you a code to unlock it

Can't enter PIN for Headset

I'm grateful for your replies. I obviously haven't done a good job of explaining. Here are snips of the windows involved. I have done all the steps suggested, but I can't directly enter the PIN in the larger window. That seems to be my only problem. Plantronics hasn't answered yet, but I'll hope they come through.
