Windows 10: You must enable wireless capability - but my switch is broken

Hello, I need my laptop for work however, recently it has stopped me from connecting to the internet. I have attempted many solutions including switching it on in settings, where it just switches it back off without me doing anything, I have attempted to use the fn key with the wireless symbol under it to no avail, even when I hold down the fn key simultaneously. I have attempted to locate a software and moving the files onto the computer, just to be met with the fact it is not compatible. This is a old laptop so I am unable to find any sort of software which can support me in this error and t

Try This.

Enabling Wireless in Windows 7 / Vista

1. Click on Start. It's in the lower-left corner of the screen.
2. Click on Control Panel.
3. Click on Network and Internet.
4. Click on Network and Sharing Center.
5. Click on Change adapter settings. ...
6. Right-click on Wireless Connection.
7. Click on Enable.

Thanks to you all for your suggestions but none of them solved my problem. To make matters worse I learned at Toshiba's website that my Satellite A665 is not listed as Windows 10 ready device.

Fortunately I also found an answer to my problem, and that was to turn on the wireless capability using the software switch: TBSWireless.exe located in the Program Files/Toshiba/TBS directory.

Now I plan to go back to my Windows Home Premium.

I am only speculating as i don`t know what type of Setup ( External Modem / Router you have and if its Wireless capable ).

As to your Computers WiFi Modem.

You should see a Network Access Icon in the bottom Right Hand Side of you Task Bar. on your screen.

Hover your Mouse over it or Right Click on it to see what options you are given.

It should show a list of Networks Available.

In this list it should show the External Modem / Router what you are trying to connect to. ( Make sure its WiFi is Enabled or it wont show up in the list ).

If it is in the list select it and click Connect.

You may be asked for some other details such as WiFi Password or MAC Address or some form of Identifier which is usually supplied with External Modem / Router which you may have to enter manually to connect the two.

The external Modem / Router that you are trying to connect to usually come with a small Card with the WiFi Details such as WiFi Name / Provider / WiFi Password and some other documentation on connections.
