Restart Your PC to Finish Installing Updates

According to the Get Windows 10 app, the download is in progress. When I click view download progress, it takes my to the windows update window where it says "restart your PC to finish installing updates". My computer restarts quickly but then nothing
happens. It just puts me right where I was before, still running windows 8.1.

When your computer asks you that you need to restart your computer to complete the update, you can resolve this by doing a
Clean Boot. You can visit this link:

If you can’t complete the update and apply the new version, a clean install of
Windows 10 will be your next option. Read this article: How

and perform a clean install or in-place upgrade.
Insert or mount this .iso image file to your CD Rom drive to start this process. Installing this will also give you the latest version of

I suggest you to perform the startup repair using the Windows 10 installation media from the eblow link and check if it helps.

Download Windows 10

Boot from the Windows 10 installation media and then perform automatic repair and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to perform Automatic repair:

• Insert installation media and restart the computer.
• Select language and click on Next.
• Select Repair your Computer and click on Skip this drive.
• Select Troubleshoot and click on Advanced Options.
• Here choose the option Automatic Repair and follow the prompted instructions.
