Windows 10: You’ll need a new app to open this ms-paint error

On my Windows 10 x64 when I want to edit an image using the context menu option "Edit with Paint 3D" which is a Windows 10 built-in feature, I get this error.

How to fix this please?

Photos are opening with Paint instead of Photos app

Hello,

It's likely that your default application for opening photos is Paint. To change your default program in Windows 10 from
Paint to the Photo app, we suggest that you perform the following steps:

• On the Start menu, select Settings.
  
• Go to System, then go to Default apps.
  
• Select Photos or any app that you like to be the default under
  Photo viewer.

There are several ways to remove MS Paint. Let's try deleting the app from its file location. Follow the steps below:

• Type mspaint.exe in the search bar.
• Right-click on mspaint.exe, and select Open file location.
  
• Press Delete on your keyboard.
  
• Follow the next instructions to remove the program.

New MS Paint

I just wanted to know a bit about the new MS Paint with 3D

Will it extend to all Win10 users or just a few.

I installed Win10 as an insider on more than one PC, desktop or laptop and the other day, while working on my sisters PC, my mum asked me about printing, which caused me to open what I thought was our standard MS Paint, to come across the new version.

What I don't understand is that, I have had about 2-3 Win10 upgrades since Xmas, but none have come with the new MS Paint.

My sisters PC was an Win8.1 and mine XP to new hardrives Win7 on which my Win10 now runs on.

Is there a reason why I have not received the new version?

I have been trying to install the new 'ms fresh paint' from MS Store, but this keeps coming up as an error and won't install.
