Windows 10: Your account requires attention. Mobile number claimed by someone else!

I have been getting these prompts several times a day that my Microsoft accounts require attention and that someone else has claimed ownership of my mobile number.


I have 3 Microsoft accounts - each of them linked to this one phone number. When I reclaim the number, I get the code and its all good for a few hours, then it happens all over again - several times a day.


Can anyone from Microsoft suggest how this can be resolved - has Someone set up an account and used my number by mistake? Is there a way to stop this?

my email accounts are in need of " require attention", I update password to fix it and manage accounts, and still get Attention required, what am I doing wrong?

I have had that error when adding an email account which has 2-step authentication, I required an app specific password, once entered the error message disappeared.

Helo, I have a Microsoft Lumia 532 Dual Sim and have tried all those options up to the last step of resetting the phone but the error "Attention required......" still persists and am not able to use the email account I want. Kindly advise on the best solution.
