Windows 10: Your device is offline, try a different sign in method

My computer recently didn't need the internet to log in with PIN but now it's asking for my Microsoft account password.When I enter my PIN, it tells me that the device is offline, use a different sign in method.I haven't changed my password for years, so when I tried to enter my password, it stated something like try again with the previous password.I reset my password, no luck.I am on vacation, so I have to use public wifi, unfortunately, the public wifi needs me to open a log in page, which means I cannot connect to the internet without logging in to the computer, but without the internet I

Best method to disable Vista/Vista 64 driver signing?

It's not a matter of "try". The bcdedit command is not fully consistent and reliable for some folks.

So far, to me, it seems the third choice always locks (disables) the driver signing. If that is the case for anyone who uses it, then that would suggest it is the more reliable and consistent method of the ones I've listed, anyway.

Your device is offline

When trying to sign in to my PC, using the password, I get an error message stating “Your device is offline. Try a different sign-in method.” I can’t get this to work. I have tried unplugging Ethernet and replugging it, from PC and from device. Internet is working for every other device in our house. I have had nothing but issues with this Windows PC.
