Windows 10: Your Hotmail account settings are out of date!!

After updating Windows 10 to v2004 this happens...


Why does Mail Version 16005.13228.41011.0 keep asking me to "Fix my account" every time I reboot my laptop?

Check your security certificate


If your password isn't the problem, you may have a certificate error. If so, you'll see a message that says, "There is a problem with the server's security certificate. The security certificate is not from a trusted certifying authority."


This error often happens when you don't use SSL to secure your email account. To fix this error, use the following steps.

1. 
   Choose Settings > Manage Accounts.
   
   
2. 
   Choose the account that's out-of-date to display the account settings dialog.
   
   
3. 
   Choose Change mailbox sync settings > Advanced mailbox settings. You may have to scroll down in the dialog to see Advanced mailbox settings.
   
   
4. 
   Check the boxes for Require SSL for incoming email and Require SSL for outgoing email and then choose Done > Save.
   

The problem here is, there is no "Advanced mailbox settings" in the dialogue box, in this version of Mail!


Questions:

1. Why am I receiving this message?
2. What could I possibly have done to make me receive it?
3. Without deleting my e-mail account, how do I stop the message every time I boot up?

Your Hotmail account settings are out of date.

I am experiencing the exact same issue with my 950XL. I ended up deleting my Hotmail account on my 950XL phone and reinstalling it. However it still says 'Your Hotmail account settings are out of date' but now I also get Nothing has arrived yet and Hotmail
on my phone has not populated from the server.. I then get the option to Fix Account or Dismiss so I select Fix Account and see the message Fixing Account. Then All done. Your account was updated successfully.. I select Done and receive a message Your Hotmail
account settings are out of date.

It goes in an endless loop.

Microsoft, suggestions please.
