Unable to sync email account with the error code 'iCloud account settings are out of date' notification in Windows 10.

    Hello,

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family.

Please follow the below methods and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Method 1

As an initial recommendation, I suggest you to follow these steps to run the Windows in built troubleshooter:

    a) Write Troubleshooting in the search box and hit enter.

    b) Click on Troubleshooting
    tab.

    c) Click on view all option on the upper left corner.

    d) Select the Windows Store apps option from the list.

    e) Click Next to run the Troubleshooter.

Deploy the Microsoft Account troubleshooter from the below which automatically resolves sync issues.

    Method 2

Check if the Date, time and Time zone is set correct. Follow the steps to set the date and time:

    a. Type “Date and Time” in the search bar.

    b. Click Change date and time button.

    c. Click Apply and Ok to save the date and time.

Note: Click on the Time Zone tab to check the Time Zone.

    Method 3

If you turn off a service in iCloud for Windows, your data won't automatically be kept up to date in iCloud, and you won't see updates made on your other devices. This might lead to a conflicting situation and the message/notification
'iCloud account settings are out of date' might appear. So, kindly check if the sync settings are correct.

    • Go to Start > All Apps, and open iCloud for Windows.
    • Enter your Apple ID to sign in to iCloud.
    • Choose the features and content that you want to keep up to date across your devices.

Write to us with the updated status for us to be able to assist you further.
