Contact IT helpdesk for more information"I'm just trying to open Windows Security.I've had this prompt for a few days and I have been trying everything on every recommended tech website there is and nothing has done to change it. This includes editing the registry, command prompt stuff and repairing the app from settings.I have just done a complete clean install of Windows 11 hoping this would change it but the prompt still appears.The only thing I think could

  2. Windows Security "Limited access by IT Admin"

    Step 1:

    • Save Fixlist.txt in the same folder where EnglishFRST64.exe is.
    • Close all program windows.
    • Launch the Farbar Scanner tool and click "Fix".
    • Upload the output log file (FixLog.txt) to your OneDrive.
    • Reboot Windows when prompted.

    Step 2:

    Ensure the system is connected to the internet.

    From an admin Command Prompt, run:

    • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    And then run:

    • SFC /scannow

    After the command completes, reboot Windows.

    Open Windows Security and check the status of your antivirus.

    I would suggest you to try with the methods below and check if it helps.

    Method 1: DISM

    I suggest you to try the following steps:


    • Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.

    • In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth


    • Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.


    Method 2:

    Also, I would suggest you to perform a clean boot and check.

    Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.

    I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

    Try resetting TCP/IP.

    Follow the steps

    • Boot to the Normal mode.
    • Open command prompt, right click in the left corner when the Start window appear and select
      command prompt (admin).
    • At the command prompt, copy and paste (or type) the following
      command and then press ENTER:
    • netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
    Note: If you do not want to specify a directory path for the log file, use the following command:

    • netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
    Reboot the computer and check.
