    Victim of Software Counterfeiting?

    Unfortunately after formatting my hard drive and installing windows, I am a "victim of software counterfeiting". I'm trying to install a new D-Link USB2 hub, but Windows isnt recognizing it. Could someone confirm my theory that because it is a "counterfeit" Windows XP, it did not retrieve the necessary software for USB devices to work properly (Service Pack 1?). If this is the case, I will probably end up buying another copy of Windows XP Pro.

    Have you thought about using Win XP Pro 64 bit? Its free from microsoft for 6 mos.

    Windows 7 Not Geniuine/Victum of Software Counterfeiting/Activation

    I bought a very old gateway laptop from this seller on Facebook about a week ago. Since then, the same notification keeps popping up. Activation about my windows. Me being a victim to software counterfeiting. And at the bottom of my screen on my desktop,
    says this copy of windows 7 is not genuine. When I click on 'go online and resolve now' for the victim counterfeiting issue, it says the page is unavailable. Someone please help me
