    Hi,


    I tried to open up fortnite today, but when I try to run it I am presented with a black screen and a blue pop up saying:

    "Your organisation used windows defender to block this app c:\system32\gamepanel.exe" (cant remember the exact file pathway)


    My windows defender is disabled so I'm not sure how it is blocking apps. I use McAfee as my anti-virus and I'm sure that's not blocking anything.

    I have tried disabling secure boot in BIOS settings. I have tried to start up without the digital signature and that doesn't let me play Fortnite either.


    Please could someone help me with this?

    If you are prompted that Windows Defender has blocked an app, it could be that Group Policies are configured in your device in terms of installing apps. For us to assist you properly in installing an application, kindly respond to the questions below:

    • Can you tell us more about the troubleshooting steps that you have done? Have you tried the troubleshooting steps that were mentioned in this thread?
    • Is your device connected in a domain network?
    • Have you configured any Group Policy in your device?

    Windows Defender blocking a driver

    I just installed a new hard drive plus the Windows 10 S - went to install the Touchpad driver (Dell Vostro) so I can use all the tricks on the mousepad but apparently I had to upgrade to 10 Pro to even install it.

    I upgraded and downloaded the driver - now Windows Defender keeps saying "your organisation has blocked this with the App Control" something something.

    I have added the pathway to the list of apps allowed but it still won't let it through.

    Any suggestions please?

    I have a similar issue if not the same. I am running windows 10 pro and whenever I try to install a download such as something like googlechrome setup the following happens:

    It blocks it and this pops up

    Your organisation used windows defender application control to block this app

    Contact your support person for more info.

    This is ridiculous and needs to be resolved for me immediately.
