Windows 10: Your Phone App no longer runs

    Your Phone App no longer runs


    Hi

    Looking for some help with the Your Phone App.


    I have been using the app for a while without problems other than the occasional error connecting to my phone. Last night my PC rebooted and now the app will not launch. When I attempt to launch the app all I get is a white square with a blue phone in it picture posted below Your Phone App no longer runs b87ee101-7218-424e-9d93-6166fc8bc476?upload=true.jpg



    I went through the process of attempting to repair the app. The process never completed. Just sat there. I then attempted the reset app process. Same thing, just sat there. The uninstall is grayed out. I attempted to reinstall from the MS App store. At first it says the app is installed, then after a few seconds it will pop up the download button. Click the download button and it just sits there at zero percent. Never downloads. After about an hour I gave up.


    Did a search through community questions about Your Phone app no longer working. Found one post that suggested running sfc / scannow. That completed and did not find any integrity violations. Same post also suggested running Dism /Online / Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth. That ran and did not return any issues.


    At this point I am looking for suggestions on what to attempt next. I saw one more post that gave a link to an external site to download a Windows 10 App Uninstaller. But before I attempt this I thought I would reach out to you guys for help

    Supported phones for Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview


    Your list confirms my phone is eligible, Lumia 521. The windows Insider App fails after ~ 15 seconds, restores data and gives me error 80073cf9. I trouble shot this and went thru all the steps mentioned on several websites including MS without any luck. Short of a hard reset, this is where I am now. Suggestions appreciated.

    When my phone fails to upgrade I just keep trying. One upgrade took 3 or 4 tries.
