    Your Phone App on Surface pro 2017. Background noise during calls, no bluetooth connectivity


    Is anyone using the Your Phone App successfully?

    I seem to have issues with background noise no matter what I do. Calls are connected fine. No issue there. I have tried all suggestions from troubleshooting guides from Microsoft, but nothing works. Also, the only audio output options are through the laptop speakers put the caller on speaker phone all the time or wired headphones. Bluetooth doesn't appear to work bluetooth headphone connected to laptop, voice output doesn't go through bluetooth and audio connection is routed back to phone, or lost all together with caller. Curious to hear others' experience with this app. Microsoft markets it hard but I am ready to give up on it.

    Windows 10 Background App running called "SURFACE"

    I am in Windows 10 - Settings - Privacy - Background Apps

    I am turning off background apps that are not needed.

    There is an app listed as "Surface".

    What is this "Surface" background app and what will happen if I turn it off?
