Windows 10: Your Phone: Unable to create new text message from PC, everything else works

I have the latest You Phone version installed on my PC v. 1.2113.36.0 and communication is good with my Android phone.All the features work except for one. I can not create and send a new text message from my PC.I can read incoming texts and reply to them from my PC, but if I create a new message to a new recipient's phone number, the little "send" arrow at the bottom right of my PC screen remains greyed-out so the message can not be sent.Can anyone please offer a solution?

Unable to "get media content" from text messages.

My Nokia 920 on ATT was showing this exact error "getting media content" for a long time... finally spent a chunk of time attempting all suggestions above...

FIXED:

1. Created New MMS APN (steps here: Setup Guide for AT&T APN Settings Windows Phone & MMS Settings )
   • still didn't work
2. Deleted MMS APN
3. Group messages started working!! No more "getting media content", it just shows up.

Note: Didn't help

- WiFi on/off

- Back up text on/off

- Group text on/off

- Data on/off

Why can't you reply to messages in your in box?

Try editing the options on your Goto list and add new text message to the list, that should save you 2 steps.(+-4seconds



on most phones the left navigation key is set as a shortcut to create a new text message by default so try this also

 

How to send an email that a phone receives as a text?

At my office, we want to have the ability to communicate with our electricians who are fairly low tech people. They don't check emails often, but text messaging would work fine for our need. I know with Verizon and Sprint you can using the text messaging app on the phone to text an email, and then if you reply to say L: 9995724770@VTEXT.COM that email will go to the phone as a text message.

Short of having all the electricians text an email to get these addresses, is there an easier way to go about this? I've never really dealt with mass texting before. Is say a Droid phone capable of sending a text to 40 people?
