Windows 10: Your pin is no longer available, but I can't type anything

I get an error message telling me that my pin is longer work, but when I click set up pin I can't input anything. I tried the onscreen keyboard which didn't work. I went to the troubleshooting options to try and open commandprompt where I was then prompted to enter my password. I was able to type In here but it kept saying my password was incorrect. All other options gave me the same results as well.

Do you see a link for Sign In Options at the bottom of the Sign-in Screen. Choose that and select the key or password choice, use password to sign in.

PIN no longer available

I get this message that my PIN is no longer available and that I need to go to the settings and set up again however I cannot even get to the settings

To further assist you in signing in to your Windows computer, you can follow the steps provided below:

  From your
  lockscreen, check if the "Sign-in option" is available.
  
• 
  Then click the option to use PIN.
  
• 
  Enter PIN.
  
  

If that didn't work, we highly suggest that you create a new account/PIN that you can use to log in to your computer.
