Windows 10: "Your PIN is no longer available" "User profile cannot be loaded"

HP - 15.6" Laptop - Intel Celeron - 4GB Memory - 128GB SSDWhen turned on, the computer loads the sign-in screen which gives me access to sleep, shut off or restart the computer, as well as network configurations. When I click when I should be able to type my password in, I receive: "Your PIN is no longer available due to a change to the security settings on this device. Click to set up your PIN again" When I click set up my pin, I receive an error message stating "The User Profile Service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded." Through the method of holding shift and restarting the

Pin & user profile

Hello, I open up my computer and it says "Pin is no longer available due to security issues" and I clicked the "Set up my pin" and it says "User profile cannot load" and I tried to search up on YouTube and google and I enter up advance mode and there was only "start up settings and eufi mode and nothing else on trouble shoot.

When attempting to login to my computer, I get the following message:

"The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in.

User profile cannot be loaded."

I referred to this Help article,You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error
message,

but the only difference is I only have one user profile on this computer. So, I can't login with another user to go through the steps listed in this post.

Any suggestions?

I am using registry editor from command prompt. Drilled down to c:windows\system32\config inside the Load Hive dialog window. Have selected (checked box) the SAM file; clicking on Open opens error message that says:


SAM
This file is in use.
Enter a new name or close the file that's open in another program.

I am at a loss, since I am not running any other program!

Any suggestions?

The SAM file is listed as being 64KB file size.
