Windows 10: You’re connected using a virtual network adapter that we can’t test

I did windows update yesterday, and today when getting on computer, I have no way to connect to internet and get the message “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter that we can’t test”I’ve read through other forums and done the things suggested. I’ve done a factory install on the computer and nothing is working.

Microsoft Hosted Virtual Network Adapter is Missing

Hi Arthur,

There's a possibility that the Internet Connection Sharing is not enabled on your machine. To enable it, follow the steps below:

• Right-click the Windows key, then select Network Connections.
• Right-click the network adapter with an Internet connection (could be Ethernet or wireless network adapter), then select
  Properties.
• Click Sharing tab.
• Under Internet Connection Sharing, check the Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection option.
  
• On the Home networking connection drop-down menu, select the
  Microsoft Hosted Virtual Adapter.
• Click OK to finish.

network adapter fails to connect after virtual switch setup.


Hello, I have setup Hyper-v on my system but once I setup the virtual switch, my network adapter no longer connects to the Wlan. when I look at network and sharing, it shows the virtual switch but not the real adapter. I followed the steps in the article: Hyper-V virtualization - Setup and Use in Windows 10

Internet stopped working and says “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter.

says “You’re connected using a virtual network adapter that we can’t test”. I’m not using a virtual network adapter though
