Windows 10: YouTube audio randomly drops while video appears to buffer, but still playing without audio...

I have a Windows PC running WIndows 11 Pro with all the latest updates. My hardware is a 13th Generation i5-13600KF with 32GB RAM.This is running on an MSI PRO Z690-A WIFI DDR4 motherboard with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. I have the onboard audio disabled because I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Generation audio interface connected to the PC via USB-C.I have been having this issue for a while now with no solution in sight. I user Chrome, current version: Version 135.0.7049.96 Official Build 64-bit. This issue also occurs when I use Microsoft Edge on this machine. I'll observe this

Audio Enhancement Disabed but wont play audio or video

All the steps have been tried. I have been dealing with this issue since last week so many of the steps you suggested or sent had been tried already and a few more than once. The PC has been through a soft reset, a factory reset, and I also did your suggestion of the repair reset.

I am still getting the same issue. When the audio enhancement is not on the audio does not play, the test tone audio fails, no local video files can play either. No YouTube videos or any online video plays. Youtube screen will say an audio rendering issue. Local audio files will give error and say it is unsupported coding...0X8000FFFF, when the enhancement is on there is no issue at all

Drivers, Bios, chips etc are up to date. I have had this laptop for less than 2 months, so I did not really have any 3rd party software installed.

Troubleshooter even suggest disabling the enhancement but again...this is the problem.

 

no audio or videos on computer.....

no videos whatsoever in edge, facebook, youtube. it just freezes after playing the first 1/2 second or so. after the video switches from buffering to playing and buffering. it freezes on commercial advertisements too.

I occasionally get a video off Instagram to load.

Firefox plays all videos.

Windows Media Player will not play videos. Other video players work just fine.

There is also no audio on my computer at all. Audio died too. Already reloaded audio drivers for my computer.

all videos youtube etc. work just fine on my phone

 

Audio volume cannot be changed while Youtube Video is playing.

Bug Reproduction Steps:

• Use Bing to search any video
• IE10 goes to the Youtube
• Play Youtube Video
• Even the audio volume is up to the max or down to zero, you still can't feel volume changed.
• If I long press "<-" hardware back button to go to App Switch Screen, and change the volume at App Switch Screen. Thus, the volume of the Youtube Video will be changed.
