Windows 10: YouTube hyperlinks all open on the same window instead of the link. YouTube claims it is...

For years I have used the share option for movie trailers on YouTube downloaded into a Word Document. About two weeks ago all such links open on a YouTube page with a statement about browsers. The YouTube support recognize the issue and blame a Microsoft update. The links continue to work correctly for those to whom I email the Word Document. I have Word 2013 and Windows 10 Home Premium, 64 bit. Does anyone know how to deal with this problem or who to ask?

Cannot open youtube by IE and Edge

Hi,

Let's isolate the cause of the issue. Are you using an Insider Preview build on your PC? If you are using an Insider Preview build and if you are in Fast Ring, we suggest that you update your computer to the new build 15031 and check if the issue persists.

We also recommend that you disable the VPN and Proxifier on your computer and check if you can access YouTube.

If the issue persists, let's use a new InPrivate window to access Youtube. To open a new InPrivate window in Edge, follow the steps below:

• Open Edge.
• Click on the three dots icon on the upper-right part of the screen.
• Click New InPrivate window.

windows 10 messenger app wont open embedded youtube link

Hi there

That's the whole problem, that link finds nothing on Microsoft. I've also tried downloading some alternative youtube like apps but none of them get recognize by the youtube link in Windows 10 messenger app. The actual Youtube app that is available on our
cell phones is not available in the MS store.

Which doesn't make any sense considering how popular Youtube is.
