A few months ago, I began having a really bizarre problem where my computer couldn't load things properly on some websites. For example:Youtube videos constantly buffer at any resolution, despite being able to load 4k video on vimeo and 1080p video on twitch.Foundry VTT fails to load most times I try, and even when it does load the game doesn't run properly certain features are broken and is very laggy. Blurry video on YouTube TV - Roku

Generally, the video frame buffer is separate from the UI graphics framebuffer, so the video shouldn’t be doing any unnecessary scaling before the final image is output. This is a known issue with the YouTube TV app on Roku.



However, you can overcome this behavior by doing the steps listed below:

• Play a video and while the video is playing press
  Home on the remote.
  
• Launch YouTube again, it will stop loading and go back to the home screen.
  
• Launch YouTube again, the video should play with better clarity now.
  

If the issue persists, you may get in touch with the Roku Support.

1080p Videos constantly buffering on Skydrive

My own solution.......?

I have uploaded a number of videos (H.264 MP4 files) and have had problems streaming them directly from Skydrive using my PC - takes a long time to load and constantly buffers.

I encounter exactly the same issue when trying to stream my videos using my Nokia 820 Lumia windows 8 phone.

The same videos work perfectly when accessed (via skydrive files) on my PC - no buffering etc.

I have tried to find a solution by looking at the various posts in the community - but have not had any luck so far - I think however I know what the issues are!

As an experiment I converted one of my videos in H.264 MP4 format to WMV format and uploaded it to skydrive. I was able to stream this video with out any issues, it loaded quickly and there was no buffering.

So, converting videos from H.264 MP4 to WMV solves the problem, but at a cost in that there is a reduction in quality. H.264 MP4 is HD - WMV is not. There is huge difference in the file sizes too and in my view this is where the problem lies.........

My internet connection is currently averaging speeds of 9mb per second which is great for streaming videos on Youtube, Netflixs etc. We never have any issues watching full HD movies, no problems loading and no buffering.

The problem must therefore be at the Microsoft end.

I have seen numerous posts from people who have encountered very similar issues - without solution. Microsoft must let their Skydrive customers know that they do not currently have sufficient technology to allow streaming of HD quality movies!

I have paid an additional fee to use Skydrive, - can Microsoft please let me know when I will be able to stream my HD quality videos?

Youtube videos are not buffering if the video is paused or if it is put in the background

I have a Nokia Lumia 520



i was watching a youtube video on 2G connection and the video was big so i paused it so that it would buffer and i will get to watch the video without any interruption.



But if paused the video does not buffer!!



secondly on IE10 when i click on a youtube video it pops up a page or something like that with an instruction to click to play the video.



when i click the video plays but if i pause the video and put it in the background and then access it again the video is gone instead it takes me agian to the pop up page to click and start the video again.
