Windows 10: “You’ve entered an incorrect pin several times…”

When I start up my Dell desktop, I got this message “ you entered an incorrect pin several times. To try again, enter.A1B2C3 below”. When I enter it, I get the pin login and enter the pin, I get another message “This sign-in option is disabled, because of failed sign-in attempts or repeated shutdowns. Use a different sign in option or keep your device power down for at least two hours, and then try again.”Don’t know how this message came about since I’ve been signing in with this pin for quite a while with no issues. But the problem now is I do not see any other sign in option.. how can I bypa

This guide suggests resetting the TPM: You've entered an incorrect PIN too many times in Windows 11 (Ok it's Win 11, but you get the idea- shouldn't be that different) And another by someone who is usually reliable: Fix: You’ve entered an incorrect PIN too many times

Ok thanks, resetting pin seems to work.

Here are your options:

• Enter the correct PIN
• Click "Login options" then log in with your password
• Wait until the timeout that you see on the screen has expired
• Log on with the spare admin account that you wisely created some time ago, same as you had a spare key cut for your house.
