Windows 10: You've entered an incorrect PIN too many times. To try again, restart your device

Hello,My son is the administrator on his Asus laptop, while I have an account hence why I can get in.This morning my son keeps getting the error You've entered an incorrect PIN too many times. To try again, restart your device. However, restarting doesn't fix the issue and there are no other options to get in.I can get in no problems using my pin for my account but as I am not an administrator, I can't change any settings such as making changes to accounts or remove pin as a sign in option only option it allows me is to change my pin.Any suggestions how to get my son back in?

i was changing my desktop pin number

a simple switch

i entered the correct pin nimber

entered the new pin number

confirmed new pin number

told incorrect

changed it and thought it was missing a number or symbol

did it again

again told incorrect

did it again with another new number

again incorrect

quit

returned to working on desktop no problems

later restarted computer to update

when i went put the pin number in

this appeared

You've entered an incorrect PIN too many times. To try again, restart your device."

then a code appeared A1B2C3

typed it and put in the orginal pin number

incorrect , put in the last pin incorrect and now im locked out

idk what to do

I will try waiting several days as you did. When steps are suggested they aren't understanding that there are no choice...the screen just says you have entered the wrong pin too many times....that's all. Then restart your computer. No other choices are
on the screen.

I can use my MS password to get in, but the pin problem is real. Restarting does not allow the pin to be used. For several days now I get the same tired message: "You've entered an incorrect PIN too many times. To try again, restart your device." Restarting
changes nothing.
